One day seminar on the Personal Liability of Directors, Auditors, Lawyers and other officers was presented on the 18th of March 2009 at Lexact’s headquarters by Christophoros Christophi.
More than 30 professionals attended that included lawyers, auditors and legal advisors.
The seminar went through the main principles governing the duties of directors of companies and their statutory, civil and criminal liability. Auditor’s liabilities were also discussed in the light of the 8th European Company Directive and the draft law that is supposed to implement the provisions of the Directive in Cyprus.
Finally the new law giving lawyers the right to incorporate limited liability companies (LLCs) was discussed.
